Transfer window thoughts

  1. What the Man City game brought home was that if you have players of the sort of quality that put away chances when they come - especially the Aguerro and Silva goals - you are on another level. I don't care who or what we get as long as they are prestigious converters of chances. Think Bendter against Barca to see what I mean. Having said that this whole debate has made me realise that for all some people moan about Giroud's lack of clinical finishing, he contributes so much more that the use of  a fox in the box would be detrimental to our overall play. My conclusion is that we could buy a fox in the box for certain games (home where opposition parks the bus?) but might need Giroud for games against better teams.
  2. Lots of people are talking about how we find a young centre back who wont mind being third choice and fighting for a place.  Winston Reid of West Ham: young, athletic, intelligent, very level headed, EPL expierience, player of the year at an EPL club. Would jump at the chance to come to the Arsenal. The thought of him being the first Maori player in the EPL is very exciting. Haere Mai Winston.
  3. Aaaagggghhhhhh - had a proper 'I think we can win the EPL' thought the other day. Fool!
