1. Cech's save from Benteke was simply astounding. I was genuinely suprised how many people were worried about him after two games. I doubt much about the Arsenal, but never that Cech is a better keeper than either Szcesny or Ospina. $11m is an absolute bargain.
2. I heard some good quotes about leadership this week. Firstly from Lauren who said it was the quality that took personal responsibility in adversity to say 'I'm not going to let this happen - I'm going to do something about it'. And also from (cough) Mickey Hazard who said that 'doing something about it' could be verbal and shouty (Perryman) or by example (Hoddle). So - who in our current team, when the chips are down take it upon themselves to do something about it? I'd say Cech, Alexis....umm...Coq, Jack in a frenzied sort of way. We still lack leaders.
3. Also an amazing stat (sorry forget where) which is that from our five last home games in which we haven't scored there have been over a hundred chances. Is there something in our style of training and play which through its rococo (a sort of art tiki-taka) elaboration, removes the focus on getting the ball in the bloody net? Seriously, a psychological thing in which 'get the ball in the net ASAP' becomes lost?
